Superhero girls!

I had this fun idea for Father's Day and the girls were more than willing to help me out!  We went out by the railroad tracks to snap a few fun pics and then I photoshopped in a picture of Kara that I had taken earlier of her laying on the carpet.  We already had the costumes in our dress up box and it was so much fun to see the poses they came up with!  We framed one picture for Daddy and another for Papa with a sign that said, "We have a HERO, we call him Papa."  We also put together superhero kits with all kinds of food labeled with which super power they contained.

I'm kind of really in love with this picture!

31-derful!

You know you're a mom of 4 kids when: They decide to sing Happy Birthday to you so you blow out your candles while nursing a 2 month old. I got a new necklace, earrings, a watch, a massage gift certificate and a certificate to JoAnn Fabrics.  I got a fabulous cake from 31 flavors for my 31st birthday--it was all 31derful!

Field Day!

This was Mikayla's first field day at school and she participated in the triple jump or the hop, step, jump, the 25 m dash, and the 100 m relay.
She placed second in the 25m dash.
Little sister came to cheer her on.
 Running in the relay.
Her little relay team was composed of the 4 fastest girls in their class.  She had a great time and looks forward to next year!

Open House

Mikayla with her 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Bradford.  We all LOVED her and Mikayla had such a great year.  She really excelled in her reading and match and gained a great love for science.

It was fun for her to give us a tour of her classroom.
We enjoyed reading all her different stories and seeing all they'd done this year.

Teddy Bear Clinic

Megan's Kindergarten class took a walking field trip to the hospital where they got to tour an ambulance, try on firemen's clothes, learn about water rescues, police cars, and so much more.  Then they took their bears to the nurses station to be checked in, weighed, diagnosed, and treated.

Megan's snow bear had "frostbite" so she requested a bandaid on the bear's face.

All fixed up!  Such a cute field trip idea!

Little Mama

Kendra:  Megan, you need to get off my towel.  Okay Megan... 1...2...3...

Me: Kendra, you are not her mom... (I find myself saying this ALL the time to the girls lately!)
