Why?
"Mom, when dogs get sad do they cry tears?"
"Mom, why don't scars ever go away?"
"Mom, why do you have two boobies when all Kendra needs is one to drink milk from?"
These are a few of the questions I've been asked from Mikayla in the past few weeks. She is really inquisitive and sometimes I know the answer (most often I don't!), and other times I just say, "Well, um, uh..... why do you think, honey?" It leads us to interesting conversations, but makes me feel like I just don't know enough to be a mom yet!

--Blog Help--
***thank you Jackie and Ashley! I have done both of the suggestions. I changed the template altogether now to something different, but everytime I go back to Minima it drops the pic and everything else down below the posts again. So, for some reason, the Minima layout is not working for me... grrr... ***

Uh Oh...
Dear Miss Kendra: When I place you in the middle of the blanket for tummy time and go into the kitchen to grab some water and finish loading the dishwasher, I do not expect to return to this...

100 days of school
That's right! Mikayla has now been to over 100 days of school! She had a fun day of eating 100 different snacks, reading 100 different words, making these cool glasses and the awesomely funky hat! The hat has 10 strips of paper stapled around the band; each band being stamped 10 times for a total of 100 stamps on the hat.
To convey the span of time of 100 yrs to the children, the teacher had a 100 yr. old person (close to 100...), 100-month old student, and a 100-day old baby come in. They were able to compare and contrast the difference in ages of the 3 people and get an idea of how different 100 days is to 100 years. Kendra was 103 days old on the day we came into the class--can't get much closer than that! We were happy to help out and Mikayla was more than happy to show off her sister to her friends and answer their questions. Here's to a couple thousand more days of school!
