Happy Thanksgiving!
All our pilgrims and Indians gathered together!
My little Indian girls
Matt, Sydney, and Charlie
Kendra and Bree, the little twin-sized troublemakers!
The kids' end of the table
This was our first year to host Thanksgiving and do everything without parents. We divided up the dishes and cooked some ahead of time, some together and enjoyed a fabulous meal. It was the first time for Trent and I to make a turkey and we used my parent's roaster. It turned out fabulous!! So delicious!
The whole gang dining together! We were so happy to have our friends join us for an appetizer lunch, bike riding in the afternoon, yummy dinner, and movie and dessert. What a fun day!
Sorry to Have Made Your Life Harder
Kendra disassembled the child door knob cover from the pantry and brought it to me. She said, "Here Mom, I don't need 'dis anymore, it was makin' it too hard to get my snacks out." Totally the point child, totally the point...
Where's Megan?
I went in to check on my child before bed and had to look for her. Between the dog and about 20 stuffed animals and dolls, she was crammed in the side next to the wall! Doesn't look very comfy to me, but whatever!

Booty Talk
I patted Kendra's bottom as she was going up the stairs in front of me, she turned around and said, "Hey! Don't you be touchin' my booty booty bum bum!" Hahaha!

Halloween Happenings
Mikayla made these cute treats at an Achievement Day activity. She loves being old enough to go to Activity days and have fun with her friends.
Her school had Red Ribbon week during the week of Halloween, so each day was something different to wear to school. One day was decades day, so here she is in my 50s skirt from 20 yrs ago!
Kendra LOVED that they were able to wear their costumes to dance class during the week of Halloween!
On the day of Halloween, her school had Disney day, they could dress as a Disney character or wear a Disney hat, shirt, etc. She chose to be Mulan and wore a dress I got in Japan when I traveled there with my parents when I was 7.
Megan's Kindergarten went trick-or-treating to the shops on on Hazel St. The editor from the newspaper was there and took a picture of her too which made it in color into the newspaper! Too fun!
Mikayla wore a witch costume to dance class.
Megan wore a Rapunzel dress to dance class.
I made a shirt for myself and my ultra-mini-me for Halloween. I loved it and wish the season was longer so I could wear it more!
I love that Megan knocked on the door like a real flamingo might!
Mikayla loved passing out candy to all the little visitors.
Dad was out of town on a business trip, so Magaw and Papa came and helped me take the kids out and pass out candy and such. They played board games while waiting for trick-or-treaters!
My cute witch!
They all loved the face makeup!
She chose and designed this costume herself and I made it. I LOVED this costume and hope she'll continue to be creative with her costumes!

no cheese please
I told the girls we were going to have a family party and watch a movie and make cheesecake. Kendra was so excited and kept asking me if she could help make the cheesecake. I told her yes and then she looked at me and said, "You're just jokin' right, there really no cheese in it? 'Cause that would be gross." We had to have a lesson in cheddar vs. cream cheese right then and there. Poor thing.
Kendra Turns 3!
Kendra turned 3 and wanted nothing but a Dora party! So we made a Dora cake and a Boots cake.
We had a build-your-own taco courtesy of Tico.
We played Dora Bingo.
Then the kids went to find the cake, but in its place was a note saying Swiper had stolen the cake and they needed to find it! So they got Map out of Backpack and went to the first stop which was the Grumpy Old Troll's Tunnel. The "troll" told a riddle they had to solve before crawling through the tunnel. On to the next stop which was Balloon Valley where they had to pop the balloons to find the explorer stars.
Kendra with her map. After finding the stars, they went to Present Palace where the cake was waiting for them to cut into later.
Kendra opened her presents and loved getting puzzles, candy, a rice bucket to play in, books, stuffed animals, a movie, and a Dora backpack.
Kendra with her cake! And hour before her party she was swatting balloons and ran into a wall, splitting her forehead open! No stitches needed as Nurse Dad ran to work to get bandages and glue.
Lovin' the cake!
With Magaw and Papa
With Elsie, Xandra, and Bree
Our family and Dora! Happy Birthday to our sweet, adorable, outgoing, huggable, kissable, crazy Kendra! We sure love you!
