That's right! Mikayla has now been to over 100 days of school! She had a fun day of eating 100 different snacks, reading 100 different words, making these cool glasses and the awesomely funky hat! The hat has 10 strips of paper stapled around the band; each band being stamped 10 times for a total of 100 stamps on the hat.
To convey the span of time of 100 yrs to the children, the teacher had a 100 yr. old person (close to 100...), 100-month old student, and a 100-day old baby come in. They were able to compare and contrast the difference in ages of the 3 people and get an idea of how different 100 days is to 100 years. Kendra was 103 days old on the day we came into the class--can't get much closer than that! We were happy to help out and Mikayla was more than happy to show off her sister to her friends and answer their questions.
Here's to a couple thousand more days of school!
