I was singing to Mikayla and rubbing her back while she was falling asleep tonight and suddenly she looked up at me and smiled and reached her arms up for a hug. I leaned down to hug her and she whispered, "I love you, I couldn't have asked for a better mom."
That was it. Short and simple and oh so sweet. I do so love my 4 year old.
