So, it's a huge thing in our stake to go camping in Santa Cruz over Memorial weekend. We got invited this year to camp with the Astle's and we had so much fun! Mikayla hasn't been camping in almost 2 years so it was almost as if everything was new to her. She loved the beach, walking in the woods, riding bikes with her friends, roasting marshmallows and just plain playing with her friends where there were hardly any rules. Megan loved being able to walk everywhere and would toddle from campsite to campsite to see where sister was or find friends from our ward. We took her to the beach and she ate her fair share of sand and literally loved running into the waves. We had to hold her back from running straight into the ocean! The little fearless child would scream when we brought her up by the chairs and towels to dry off and just wanted to keep running into the cold water with her sister and friends! Crazy baby! We had a lot of fun camping and it was even more fun to see so many people from our ward and stake out there. Thank you Astles! We hope to go again next year!

Looks like a fun camp out! I am going to go to camp Nauvoo on Friday with our boys. Dave has to work, but I'll be there. Maybe I'll see you!
