Tevin as Gaston

Here's the girls posing on the set. They were very excited for their backstage tour after the show!
My nephew Tevin was in Beauty and the Beast and did an amazing job as Gaston! We got to see him perform in Colorado and the performance absolutely blew us away.
It was Mikayla's first play/musical to see and she LOVED it! I'm blaming it on pregnancy, but no joke, when he came on stage and said his first lines I totally teared up. It's not even my kid! But he did an amazing job and got lots of laughs and lots of cheers.

Some of the amazing costumes during the "Be Our Guest" song.

Gaston with Belle near the end of the play.

All the family who came to watch Tevin. Proof that I came on this trip! Can you spot the two preggos? (Hint: the ones covering their bellies that aren't quite big enough yet to look like anything but fat!)

Another Trip to Colorado!

We went in August to CO and we went back again last week to visit family. It was terribly cold and windy, but beautiful as always. This is sleepy Mikayla waiting for the plane at 4:30 am!
This is how we roll. A little dramamine works wonders on children!

They had fun on the plane but man were they sleepy!
Trent and Megs resting. Our last trip while Megan is still free and can sit on our laps. Next month she's the full price. :(

In Colorado, Megan and her cousin Bryna. The little kissing cousins had lots of fun playing together and hugging and were just plain adorable together.
Mikayla and her cousin Emily had lots of fun all week.
The all-girl plus Trent wrestling match. He didn't stand a chance! :)
At Pump-it-Up! They all went down the big slide together, laughing the whole way.
Mikayla, Megan, and Grandma in the lazy river at the rec center pool. We had a great trip and had a lot of fun playing with cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and siblings. The best part for the adults is when the kids go to bed and the card games come out! Oh, if you ever go to Greeley, you have GOT to go to the rec center. They have a kiddie splash pool area with small slides and sprinklers, a big lazy river, a pool with bball hoops, and two amusement park-sized slides for the grownups. It is awesome and it's all indoors so they can use it year-round. Totally jealous. A fun time was had by all!

Who's #1?

I AM!!! Yeah baby!! Oh, whoops, I mean, UNC. :) Trent's family puts all their picks for March Madness in on an espn site and then we watch to see who out of the 22 people made the most correct picks. Well, as it turns out, this year, my bracket won! Yep, that means I beat my bball lovin', espn-watchin', all-stats knowin', college hoops lovin' hubby of mine for the 7th year. What can I say? When you're good, you're good. hahaha

Don't let the post fool you, I made the picks in my bracket and then had no idea who I picked to win the final game until today! I didn't even know the final game was on until I asked Trent and he said if N. Carolina wins, I win it all. And how many games did I pick correctly? Well, let's just say I got 1340 points out of 1600. Would've loved for that to have been my SAT score.... too bad I didn't guess as well on that thing! :) Ahh, until next year...

Q & A With Mikayla

I saw this floating around on facebook and other blogs and thought it was cute. I would've tried it with Megan too, but since all she says is "Mama, Dada, and I Want MORE!" I didn't think it'd work too well... :)

1. What is something mom always says to you? "Can you go help your sister?" (I do!)
2. What makes mom happy? "When I give you hugs."
3. What makes mom sad? "When I kick Mom and hit Mom and get grumpy at Mom." (good thing THIS doesn't happen often!)
4. How does your mom make you laugh? "When you tickle me."
5. What was your mom like as a child? "You liked to eat ice cream and donuts and you were silly." (the way she knows my obsession w/food it's a wonder I'm not 300 lbs.!)
6. How old is your mom? "15" (yes, that's right Mikayla, I had you when I was 10.... ?)
7. How tall is your mom? "101 inches"
8. What is her favorite thing to do? "Play with me and go to the gym."
9. What does your mom do when you're not around? "Play with Megan."
10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for? "I have no idea, what does famous mean?"
11. What is your mom really good at? "Writing stuff."
12. What is your mom not very good at? "You're not good at hurrying." (huh?)
13. What does your mom do for her job? "Teaches at school."
14. What is your mom's favorite food? "Chocolate chip cookies and strawberries."
15. What makes you proud of your mom? "I'm proud that she gets jobs."
16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be? "A Higglytown Hero." (huh?)
17. What do you and your mom do together? "Have dates."
18. How are you and your mom the same? "We both have flowers on our swimsuits, and we have the same eyes."
19. How are you and your mom different? "Well, you help a lot to clean up and I don't." (true :)
20. How do you know your mom loves you? "By giving lots of hugs."
21. Where is your mom's favorite place to go? "To the gym." (sad...)

Oh Yes It's Ladies Night!

Oh what a night... It was so much fun! We went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant and then to karaoke. I've never been before and didn't know what to expect, but we rented a room for 2 hours and laughed, sang, yelled, and danced to our heart's content. And I only danced on the table once! I may be pregnant, but I can still have fun! We laughed at how many songs we thought we knew, but ended up being quite surprised by some of the baaaad lyrics--hahaha! Ashley and I rockin' out to Pink's "So What, I am a Rockstar!" I clearly have an issue with being so much shorter than her and had to jump for most of the song! :)
A little "Mamma Mia" with Joanna.
Me, Ashley, and Kimberly
Kimberly gettin' "Low!"

Joanna and Ashley
Ruth, Kimberly, and April and our friends Twix and Hershey bars
Laurie and Ruth rockin' out!
Ashley and Kim
Me and April. It was so much freakin' fun! We met years ago and all went to the same church together and now only 3 of us are still in the same ward. Everyone else has moved away, but we still love to get together and have fun when we can! Thanks ladies! :)

SURPRISE!

Well, Mikayla told her preschool and a good friend of mine and well, word's a-spreadin'! So why not share here too? Baby Dudley #3 is on the way! DId I just say 3?! Holy smokes. I can hardly believe I will have 3 kids by the end of this year. Again, I say, holy smokes. It's sooner than we thought, but well, these things happen... hence, the surprise... Sorry if I haven't told you in person when I've seen you recently, it seems weird to try to work into conversation. :) I'm only 8 weeks, but it is amazing how my body knows the drill having been pregnant twice before. I haven't gained a single pound yet, but my jeans barely fit! Ugh, I totally retain water and am bloated and well, a big reason I'm telling everyone I'm pregnant is so you all don't just think I'm fat! lol

I seriously had a lady at preschool today say, "Congratulations! Mikayla told us yesterday. I knew you were pregnant though, I saw you walking like your back hurt and your stomach is big so I knew you were..." Seriously?! Did you just say that to me?! Like I'm way far along or something?! Note to everyone, don't tell me or any other pregnant person how "big" aka "fat" we are until there is a very noticeable belly! :) Oh well.

My balance is already a little compromised and I found that out teaching water aerobics the other night. No more jumping on one leg while kicking the other high in the air repeatedly... Fatness is my only complaint though. I feel great and never really get 'sick' when I'm pregnant so that's a blessing. Life carries on, busy as usual. So we either have a new lil one coming in October or November, I'll get a more accurate due date when I have a Dr.'s appt. Note to self: schedule that tomorrow....

I Just Got My AFAA Results In The Mail...

And I PASSED!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited! I am now a certified group exercise instructor. I studied really hard for that thing and it was a tough exam and a long day of testing, but I don't have to do it again--for awhile at least! Yay, yay, yay!! I'm so dang over the moon right now. :)

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Our green dinner! Okay, I went a little overboard! But it was fun! We had spinach salad with cucumbers, pesto pasta with chicken(died green), and bread with melted green butter. To drink? Green mint chip milkshakes! Everyone's favorite part of the meal!
Megan being a little ham!

Mikayla normally loves pesto chicken pasta but she wasn't too sure about green chicken! I'll have to admit, 2 drops of food coloring goes a long way into making something like chicken look gross! She also thought the idea of green bread sounded cool, but then wouldn't eat the green parts. Silly girl! No complaints on the milkshake though!
Josh and Chloe ate with us, what good sports they are!
After dinner fun: Mikayla used Josh like a climbing tree and then we all played a game of hide-and-go-seek and then went on a walk/bike ride. We had a fun day!

Smooth Away Review

Those aren't my legs, though I wish they were! :)

I'm sure you've seen the commercials for it: remove unwanted hair easily, pain-free, and wherever-whenever you want! Well, I saw them and I hate shaving, so I bought them. It was an impulse add-on at Target and I've tried them a few times now.

It takes a little more time than shaving to remove all the hair and I still have trouble around my knees, but it is nice for when you don't want to hop in the shower to shave and don't want razor burn or knicks or anything. Whoa, long sentence! I use the smooth away pads on my lower legs before teaching water aerobics since I teach in shorts. It is super easy and you just move them around in a circular motion on your legs till the hair's gone, but I think it takes more time than shaving(unless I'm doing it wrong or something!). My legs get just as smooth as with shaving and there is no risk of knicks or razor burn--a major plus for me! So there you have it, I think they work really well, but it doesn't save time. All depends on what you're looking for with these! :)

First Time Face Painting

Yep, Mikayla went 4 1/2 yrs without having her face painted! She always chooses her hand instead. But at a preschool carnival last weekend she took the plunge! I had to take a picture because I was proud of her for doing what every other 4 yr old girl has done many times over! She ended up loving it and loved looking in the mirrow and had me take a pic so she could see it too! Ah, Mikayla and her little quirks...

Another Reason I Love My 4 Year Old

I was singing to Mikayla and rubbing her back while she was falling asleep tonight and suddenly she looked up at me and smiled and reached her arms up for a hug. I leaned down to hug her and she whispered, "I love you, I couldn't have asked for a better mom."

That was it. Short and simple and oh so sweet. I do so love my 4 year old.

Yay For Megan!

One day Megan sat on the potty, the next she was wearing panties and the rest is history! We tell her when we go potty so she can watch us and we all cheer and clap and do a happy dance when she pees and well, she caught on like a charm and only wears diapers to sleep. She has been in panties over 2 weeks and only one accident--which was on the way to the potty! I'm amazed that she went all 3 hrs at church today and held it till we got home. It's so exciting and I just love to see her lil panty bum running around the house! So cute!

Way Late Valentine's!

My mom got the girls and me matching shirts for Valentine's Day. I had a nasty flu on Velentine's Day and was sick on the couch all day so these are from a week later!
Love the attitude!

Trent got me a dozen beaugiful roses, made a great breakfast took the girls out to play and to lunch so I could sleep, and then made a scrumptious steak dinner. Such a bummer I was sick and couldn't enjoy it all, but I'm thankful for how much he loves me and the girls to take such good care of us all day. What did I give him for Valentine's? The nasty flu. Sorry honey. :)

RI-DIC-U-LOUS!!!!!

This is Melissa from this season's "The Bachelor." I will not post a picture of him since I am so mad right now. I can't believe it. I mean, I heard the leaks and rumors about the finale last week but didn't want to believe it. Melissa was picked as Jason's #1 and was told that he wanted her forever. Well, after sitting through a ridiculous 2 hour finale, knowing the outcome, I had to then watch this poor, beautiful girl's heart break on national tv. Props to her for handling it so well and for asking all the questions I had burning in my mind.

Why would you propose to her only to turn around 2 months later and say nah... we're not right for each other...but I think I might give it a try with this other girl that I let go in order to propose to you... HUH??????

After DeAnna's season I had Jason up on this crazy pedestal and was so excited for this season. I faithfully watched every hour jampacked with sloppy kisses and overuse of hyperbole only to hate--yes HATE-- the ending. I wanted them to be in love, I wanted the love story, I feel so bad for Melissa. The only good thing is that ABC finally gave us the "most shocking rose ceremony ever!"

Yes, I know, it's just a reality show but honestly... I am mad....
